The truth about Aerobics

Nike, Reebok, Adidas et. al. have spent millions of dollars to make you believe that the best way to get a terrific body is to run, cycle, swim and perform aerobic exercise of all types until you drop from exhaustion. Right....Wrong! 

Sorry but the truth is that unless you were born with designer genes (not jeans) you will never have what is considered a really drop dead gorgeous body....regardless of what type of exercise  you do. But that certainly doesn’t mean that you can’t improve tremendously on what nature gave you...you can...and quickly too. But you won’t improve 1 iota unless you engage in high intensity strength training.....no other type of exercise will change the shape of your body for the better...and performing more than just the very barest minimum of any aerobic exercise will reduce your progress from your high intensity exercise program. In fact, if you perform much more than 20 minutes of aerobic exercise 3 or more times per week, you will reduce your results from HIT to almost nothing. This is true simply because any amount of aerobic exercise literally causes the human body to lose lean muscle tissue...all you are left with is bone, fat and skin if you perform enough aerobic exercise and no strength training. Witness the emaciated, prison camp appearance of marathon runners.

What it boils down to is this. You probably want to look as good as you can look and be as healthy as you can be. You are willing to do just about whatever is required to achieve the above, pay whatever is necessary, perform whatever exercise is recommended by the “experts”, and even undergo surgical procedures up to and including breast implants, liposuction etc. We can’t help you with your decision about surgery, but we can tell you that most of what is being recommended by the so-called experts is utter bull. From the standpoint of exercise all that is required for best results is a high intensity strength training program...a program lasting from 15 to 30 minutes and performed 1 to 2 times per week. This program will add body shaping muscle to your frame, raise your resting metabolic requirement 250 to 500 calories per day, strengthen your skeletal and cardiovascular systems to optimum levels, enhance your flexibility to optimum levels and relieve stress like nothing else. The addition of any separate aerobic exercise will immediately start to reduce your results from your HIT program.....and at some point you literally won’t show any results or progress at all. This is the point at which the bad effects of the aerobic exercise exactly cancel out the good effects of the HIT. And if you do even more aerobic exercise, you will grow steadily weaker, your % body fat will rise, your bones will de-mineralize and your cardiovascular system will weaken. And all of this is from doing more and more exercise and wasting more and more time and money...Hello!!!!Anybody Home! Are we getting our message through?

This has been long winded enough, even though I could write volumes on the subject. The point is this...there is a very simple solution to the exercise problem...and apparently Belmar Intelligent Exercise is the only facility in NJ aware of this solution.
